Lately I can barely run 2 miles, I get winded from going up stairs, walking to the train, etc, etc. I have even felt light-headed from just getting up from my chair! Not good and I don't feel good.
So I am about 138 lbs now, I will weigh myself sometime this week to get a good starting point, and I mainly would like to shape up and feel good. I know I will lose some weight along the way which will be a great positive but my main goal is to feel energetic again and to have that "can-do" attitude again.
Yesterday I went for a walk during the day. Today I went to the gym in the morning. I walked/jogged for 30 mins (walked 11 mins at about 15 miles/min pace 4.0 at incline of 4, then 11 mins at 13.19 miles/min pace 4.5 at incline of at least 1, and last 8 mins at 12 miles/min pace-5.0, no incline). Total calories burned 259 and total of 2.37 miles.
I feel like I am starting somewhat at basics again but I am extremely happy I was able to jog for about 20 mins.
The plan is to go to the gym in the morning any where from 4-7 days a week and to be able to run 3 miles as effortlessly as possible.
My goals:
- to run 3 miles in a month 6/5/2010, speed and time not a factor yet...I just want to be able to run it on and off the treadmill.
- go to the gym 4-7 days a week.
